Written with the Independent Practitioners Association (IDPA) this advice and guidance document provides support to independent practitioners who provide services to primary health care providers, the NHS and independent sector providers, corporate medical companies and, in some cases, directly to members of the public. These services include diagnostic imaging, screening, therapeutics and education.
As part of the Recruitment, Retention and Return of Radiographers’ initiatives undertaken by the Society and College of Radiographers, a research project was commissioned to provide information on the capacity and quality of clinical education and training in radiography. This research was carried out by a team from University of Central England in collaboration with Anglia Polytechnic University (now Anglia Ruskin University) and University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust.
SCoR is pleased to publish this information and guidance document. It is written at a time when the healthcare environment is rapidly changing and acknowledges that developments in the field of information management and technology(IM&T) are at different stages across the four countries of the UK.
